Rusty Gears

The Rusty Gears are a Colorado acoustic roots and bluegrass quartet whose members are based in Broomfield, Arvada and Lafayette. The band is made up of Ernie Johnson, mandolinist John Gowdy, Matt Gabriel and fiddler Laima Haley, all four of whom sing. Their repertoire mixes traditional bluegrass and originals with material reaching from Bill Monroe and Gillian Welch to rock covers.
