Whitney is an American indie rock band formed in Chicago in 2015 by guitarist Max Kakacek and drummer-vocalist Julien Ehrlich after the breakup of their previous group, Smith Westerns. Signed to Secretly Canadian, the band pairs falsetto vocals with folk, country and soul touches on albums including Light Upon the Lake (2016), Forever Turned Around (2019) and Spark (2022).
